This is my second instalment in the series about fandoms. For those of you who do not know the fandom of Doctor Who is called the Whovians. Personally I am a massive whovian and I have watched more episodes that you would believe so I know a fair bit about Doctor Who.
Doctor Who is about an alien who looks like an average man from the planet Gallifrey. Gallifrey was destroyed in a big time war against other alien planets. The Doctor is the only known remaining timelord and the TV show is about his adventures through time and space with his companions saving planets and species from destruction.
One thing that bothers me about the Doctor Who fandom is the stigma attached to it. We are all put into the stereotype of being complete nerds. Personally I have no problem being called this but I think that it is unfair to label a whole group of people just because they share an interest (wow that became deep quite quickly I'll leave that for another post).
I love how passionate the fandoms are whether you're part of the tumblr fandom or the twitter fandom or both. Everybody is so unexplainably in love with the characters and the actors (sometimes despising the writers). Its a bond we all share and it makes it so much easier to start a conversation.
Also as I said in my last post I love how supportive everybody is of each other and there will always be someone who cares about you.
